Portland Community Venue

Portland Community Venue is a space for building communities and opportunities, making friends and meeting together. The Venue is more than just a building, it’s a community resource, for the benefit of the people of Portland. We aim to provide a local meeting place and venue for social groups, church groups, businesses, schools and private individuals.

With a newly refurbished bright and warm hall, fully equipped kitchen, a studio and private consultation space, this is an ideal venue for community or corporate events, meetings, celebrations and evening classes.

Internet access is available throughout the building and laptops are available on request.

Portland Community Venue - The LEADER grant has assisted in creating this superb multi-purpose community facility at the old Brackenbury school site. The project has benefits for the local community as it houses a nursery, a youth drop in service, access to computers as well as rooms to hire for classes and a hall for events and larger gatherings. The funding from the LEADER grant was used specifically on refurbishment of the existing building as well as on the addition of other facilities such as disabled toilets and access.
